I had to return this product as they were very uncomfortable. The insole has a ledge (step-down) between the heel and the ball of the foot. It is about 1/2 an inch difference. I have never seen this in a shoe before and hope I don’t ever encounter it again. I called the Docksiders customer service center in hopes that this was just a mistake but they told me that this is the way they are making their shoes. I hope that Docksider’s will rethink this idea as I won’t be buying any more shoes from them that have this insole.
